- From the Control Panel screen, tap or click Network and Internet and then tap or click Connect to a network.
- You’ll see a list of available networks appear on your screen. Click on the one you want, enter the password if necessary and then check that you have internet access.
If you still can not connect, check your router and your password
- Make sure your router is running.
- Restart the router. To do this, disconnect the power cord from the router, wait 30 seconds and then plug the power cord back.
- Check that your router is working correctly. To do this, you need to bypass your router and plug your computer directly into an internet outlet. Next, go to the Xbox Live website on your computer and see if you have an Internet connection. If you can connect without using a router, your router does not work properly.
- Make sure that you have the correct password for the account. Re-enter the network password, network key or pass phrase.
- If you still can’t connect, check your router’s configuration
- Make sure that the router SSID is set to broadcast mode.
- If the wireless router is configured to accept only clients by using media access control (MAC) addresses, you must add the MAC address of the player to the list of clients on the router.
- Make sure that the access point or the router to which you connect is a DHCP server.
