Connecting Bluetooth devices can be a pain. When solving thousands of Bluetooth problems here at Plugable, we learned that the problem often came from a problem that arose during the pairing process. Solution 1. Make sure Bluetooth devices are allowed to connect to your PC
Before making any driver updates or other actions to troubleshoot Bluetooth devices, make sure that Bluetooth devices are enabled on the PC and Bluetooth devices. And allow wireless devices to connect to your PC. Follow the steps below to connect them.
- Go to Start -> Settings -> Devices -> Bluetooth.
- You can see the Bluetooth device settings on the right side of the pane. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on, and then click More Bluetooth options.
- Select the “Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer” checkbox.
Check if the Bluetooth device you want to connect to your PC indicates that otherwise you will need to go to solution 2, upgrade the drivers for your Bluetooth device
Solution 2. Update Bluetooth Drivers to Connect Bluetooth Audio Devices and Wireless Screens
Bluetooth drivers may be missing, corrupted during the Windows 10 upgrade process, or become incompatible after the Windows 10 update. You can update the compatible drivers for your Bluetooth or wireless devices with Device Manager , as shown below.
- Press Win + X, and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Bluetooth category and locate your Bluetooth devices.
- Right-click the device and choose Update Driver Software.
- Choose Automatically find the updated driver.

Step 1. Identify Bluetooth driver issues
