Lexmark Printer Offline Problem
The Lexmark printer is one of the best brands available in the printer market. It is best known for its efficiency, quality, productivity and reliability. Although it is one of the best products in the world, you may encounter technical problems over time that require diagnosis and assistance. In addition to features, Lexmark printers are also affected by a common problem that the printer is offline.
The other reason the printer is offline may be disconnecting your computer. There may be several other causes of offline printing problems in a Lexmark printer. An offline printer problem occurs when the printer is disconnected from the system, and then the printer displays the "Printer Offline" message.
- Impressions are not good enough: Lexmark printers often produce poor quality prints. When this happens, you no longer need to seek help too far.
- The printer driver does not update: One of the most common problems Lexmark printers face with them is that they can not evaluate the printer driver. This is not a serious problem, but it is a common problem that the user faces everywhere.
- Remove jammed paper: The printer can go offline if the print paper is not properly filled in the print tray. So, make sure your papers are well fed.
Step 1 : Check the printer to make sure it is turned on. Consult your printer's manual to find out where to turn the printer on and off. An off printer will be detected by Windows, but will not print.
Step 2 : Check that the cable between the printer and the computer is properly connected. A loose connection may cause the printer to be considered offline even if it is turned on. Also check that there are no paper jams or other errors, such as improperly inserted ink cartridges.
Step 3 : Unplug the printer from the computer and turn it off, if it is still considered offline. Wait about 30 seconds, and then turn on the printer again. Reconnect the printer to the computer and Windows will automatically detect it and save it online.
Step 4 : Click the "Start" button and then "Devices and Printers" if the printer still does not appear online. Double-click the offline printer icon.
Step 5 : Click the "Printer: Offline" link to display a new window. Click "Printer" and then "Use Printer Offline" to deselect this option, if it is enabled.
Step 6 : Click the "Start" button and type "services.msc" in the Search box in programs and files. Press "Enter" to display the Services window.
Step 7 : Scroll to "Print Spooler" in the list of options. Right-click "Print Spooler" and then click "Restart" in the list of options to bring the printer back online.
Step 8 : Right-click the "Network" icon on your taskbar and select "Open Network and Sharing Center" if the printer is part of the network and not connected directly to your PC.
Step 9 : Click on the "Local Area Connection" link and verify that your computer is connected to the network. Click "Diagnose" to have Windows try to fix the problem if you are not logged in. Once you are connected to the network, the printer will be online.
