Sometimes an error can occur when installing various Adobe applications, such as Suite 5 products. When this happens, users tend to waste a lot of time and effort trying to find a solution. Some people also think that their computer can not use the latest Adobe products, although it certainly does. The easy solution is to download and install Adobe Application Manager. This software is the solution to errors such as “The application manager is required to update your product” and “The application manager is required to start your test”. If you are entitled to a free demo, this application will allow you to do it. In addition, the application handles all your Creative Cloud downloads. In other words, AAM often functions as a download manager that fetches application packages from Adobe’s servers.

Solution 3: Configure your software firewall.
Software firewalls limit access to your computer. Some software firewalls warn you when a program tries to access the Internet. Users have reported instances where software / hardware firewall settings have resulted in download errors. The most common error associated with this problem is error 205. Firewall configuration may cause other errors.
- If prompted, select this option to allow the Creative Cloud desktop application to access the Internet.
- If you are not prompted, temporarily disable the software firewalls to determine if they prevent access to the Internet. See the documentation for your firewall software for help.
If you are unable to locate the documentation to temporarily disable the software firewall, disable the startup items and services. This disables most software firewalls. For specific instructions on disabling startup items and services, select your operating system from the list below.
Solution 4. Temporarily disable the antivirus software
Temporarily disable the antivirus software. See the antivirus documentation for more information on temporarily disabling antivirus control.
