The error can also occur when the user tries to access the file that is not configured correctly. The H505 error code is one of the codes in the series, including the error codes - 6000 82, H101, H202, and H303. These errors may appear for the same reason.

Solution 1: Create a new company record

  1. First, generate a 'Replacement Folder' on the host computer. Now share the original folder and Windows access permissions to share the company files.
  2. If you do not have access to the digital computer, contact a qualified computer specialist.
  3. In the new folder, copy the .qbw file back to multiuser mode.
  4. You can now open the company file.

  • Configure firewall settings 

  1. Access the Windows Firewall settings and right-click Windows Option to click on the dashboard. Now type 'Firewall' in the search bar and press Enter. Click Windows Firewall and tap the Advanced Settings option.·
  2. Go to the left and right-click on "Outbound Rules" and select "New Rule".
  3. Tap Ports, and then tap Next.·

  12. Now return to multi-user mode and open QuickBooks.
  • Enable network discovery
  1. First, open the Control Panel, and then tap System and Security.
  2. Tap the Windows Firewall
  3. In the left pane, navigate to Click Allow Application / Associated Feature on the Windows Firewall (if you are on the Windows 2012 server).
  4. Tap the edit option
  5. Select Network Discovery and press OK.

Solution 3: Check hosting and service

Check the accommodation

  1. Open QuickBooks on each workstation (it is not the server or the host computer)
  2. Next, select File and press Utilities.
  3. If you see multi-user access on the list, this computer does not host the company file.
  4. If you see host multiuser access on the workstation, you can switch to the next computer. Here does not change anything.
  5. If you see "Stop hosting multiuser access," tap this option.
  6. On each computer, repeat steps 1 to 3.
